In the coming months the winning films will be available via AnyClip.com and its third-party distribution partners, providing consumers with instant search capability of their favorite movie moments and independent filmmakers with a first-of-its-kind promotional and online marketing asset.

The content will be added to AnyClip's growing online library of premium entertainment that includes Universal Pictures' feature films through a film licensing deal announced earlier this month in addition to several distribution houses, including a catalogue of independent films from First Look, Virgil Films and other movie classics.

"Our collaboration with SXSW opens many doors to independent filmmakers that have never existed before," says AnyClip CEO Oren Nauman. "By incorporating these independent films into our catalogue of premium online entertainment, we are leveling the playing field for filmmakers that don't have the same resources as the major film studios. Our meta-data tagging capabilities can identify up to 5,000 characteristics per film, creating endless possibilities for consumers to interact with content."

AnyClip allows for searching and browsing movies associatively, by queries such as characters, actors, scene details, behavioral information, quotes, objects, shooting characteristics and more. Leveraging AnyClip's pioneering technology and database of full-length feature films, distribution partners are now able to enrich the consumer's experience by selecting any moment from any of their favorite films.
